Fanboys do not exist in isolation. They are comfortably situated in a fanboy ecosystem, that occurs at the conjunction of:
-- the manufacturing industrial structure that creates and distributes devices (goods).
--the cyclical business sector cycle, based on incompatible technologies, upgrade cycles, custom replacement parts, unique prototypes, disposable components, and planned obsolescence.
--the manipulated market image and position, in conjunction with the user's attention and continued consumption.
Fanboys of different eras evoked different nicknames.
